Job Description

Role Summary

We are hiring a Sales Executive to grow business in General Trade (C/D/E-category outlets) including kirana stores, theke/beer shops, chakna counters, and other small retailers. The role focuses on onboarding new outlets, driving repeat orders from existing outlets, resolving store-level issues through the distributor, ensuring timely deliveries, and consistently achieving monthly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1) New Outlet Onboarding & Market Expansion

  • Identify and onboard new GT outlets in assigned beats/territory.
  • Pitch products, schemes, and ensure first order placement.
  • Build visibility and availability in newly converted outlets as per company guidelines.

2) Manage Existing Outlets & Drive Repeat Orders

  • Regularly visit existing outlets as per route plan/beat schedule.
  • Take orders, track off-take, and improve product movement at store level.
  • Increase SKU penetration and ensure focus SKUs are consistently stocked.

3) Retailer Issue Resolution (via Distributor)

  • Handle retailer escalations including inventory exchange/return, damaged stock, short supply, wrong dispatch, and urgent replenishment.
  • Coordinate with distributor to close issues within defined timelines.
  • Confirm resolution with the retailer and reduce repeat complaints.

4) Distributor Coordination & Delivery Execution

  • Coordinate with distributor team to ensure timely and complete deliveries.
  • Track order-to-delivery status and follow up on pending deliveries/shortages.
  • Provide demand signals to distributor to maintain stock availability of key SKUs.

5) Target Achievement & Reporting Discipline

  • Own monthly targets (value/volume/outlet coverage) for assigned territory.
  • Maintain daily reporting of visits, orders, closures, and pending issues (CRM/app/WhatsApp format as defined).

KRAs / KPIs

  • New outlet additions per month
  • Productive outlet coverage (billed outlets/day, billed outlets/month)
  • Sales target achievement (monthly)
  • Order frequency and repeat orders from existing outlets
  • SKU depth / focus SKU availability at outlet level
  • Issue resolution TAT and reduction in repeat escalations
  • Order-to-delivery cycle time, shortage rate, and delivery adherence (via distributor)
  • Beat plan adherence and reporting consistency

Candidate RequirementsExperience & Education

  • 2–5 years of field sales experience in GT (FMCG/Beverages/Snacks/Tobacco/Staples or similar) preferred.
  • Freshers can be considered if field-ready and target-driven.
  • Minimum qualification: 12th pass; Graduate preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation with small retailers.
  • Comfortable with field work, target pressure, and high-frequency follow-ups.
  • Strong coordination skills for distributor-led supply and issue resolution.
  • Basic smartphone proficiency for reporting.

Other Requirements

  • Two-wheeler required; valid driving license required.
  • Local market familiarity is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Fixed salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on experience)
  • Incentives: Performance-linked incentives for achieving/exceeding targets
