Area Head Sales

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:

  Plan and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned business targets, including new premiums, agent productivity, and business persistency within the assigned area.

• Agency Force Management:

  Recruit, train, and motivate agency managers and partners to build a high-performing sales team.

• Market Development:

  Scan the market for new opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and develop strategies to expand business and market share.

• Product Mix Optimization:

  Ensure an effective product mix to meet customer needs and achieve sales objectives.

• Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  Ensure compliance with company policies and IRDAI regulations, and implement quality checks for post-sales service and customer retention.

• Channel Partner Engagement:

  Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners and distributors to ensure their engagement and growth.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Monitor the performance of the agency team, provide guidance, and offer motivation to achieve targets.

• Strategic Planning:

  Strong skills in developing and executing strategic plans for business growth.

• Sales Acumen:

  Deep understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and life insurance products.

• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  Exceptional communication, negotiation, and networking skills to build relationships.

• People Management:

  Experience in managing and developing a sales force.

• Knowledge of Agency Channels:

  Strong knowledge of agency distribution models within the BFSI sector.

• Educational Background:

  A graduate or postgraduate degree, with an MBA preferred.

• Experience:

  Several years of experience in the life insurance industry, with a focus on the agency channel.
