Area Credit Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the credit appraisal process across all branches.
• Ensure adherence to organizational credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite guidelines.
• Approve high-value cases within delegated authority limits, escalating to higher authorities when necessary.
• Implement and monitor the risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate credit and operational risks.
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to ensure quality and identify early warning signals.
• Monitor delinquency levels and implement corrective actions to minimize non-performing assets (NPA).
• Lead, train, and mentor the regional credit and risk team to achieve efficiency and maintain high credit standards.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous learning and development for the team.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, and risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., RBI norms) and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams across multiple locations.

• Portfolio quality metrics (e.g., NPAs, DPDs).
• Turnaround Time (TAT) for credit approvals.
