In This Role, You Will
- Work with Global product managers maintain the supply/demand planning to ensure the execution feasibility
- Work as part of Card engineering team with responsibility for CTB (Change the bank) project delivery or ongoing RTB support areas.
- Collaborate with Global credit card domain SME to understand & feedback for the established development best practice & design/development principles
- Work with Credit cards solution architects/SME to review end-to-end technical design to ensure the design quality
- Lead engineers/developers to work on project delivery including the development & deployment with good quality & on schedule
- Review/Ensure the technical design/code structure is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations
- Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management
- Provide professional consultancy/support immediately for application teams’ queries/requests including the resource estimation
- Provide support to help on the whole card team productivity improvement including the DevOps/Agile strengthen and automation improvement within pipelines
- Support production deployment and post development implementation activities
- Perform application support as necessary
- Participate in and drive the Crisis Calls for production incidents
- Identify and work on system performance improvement
- Mentor junior developers in the team
- Stakeholder management
- Create estimates for small to medium size projects
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Ability to understand the end to end processes including different product/business owners with related operations process quickly.
- Mandatory to have strong knowledge of card domain (Debit and credit cards) /IT banking domain
- strong working experience in APIs and Microservices
- Experience in design and development of medium to high complexity problems
- Good knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline
- Project experience of more than 6 years in leading backend and frontend system technical design
- Hands-on SQL skills in writing SQL queries
- Hands-on knowledge on application HPS (Hightech Payment Systems) would be an added advantage
- Java hands-on knowledge would be an added advantage
- Extensive knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Splunk etc)
- Ability to have exceptional problem-solving skillset to quicky diagnose and resolve complex technical issue.
- Ability to identify the fast connect with systems components/domains with business terms
- Ability to engage and influence senior business and functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills required to perform in depth review of risk impact of change in existing business
- Ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to challenge constructively and effect change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data and system.
