Application Specialist

Role Overview: As an Application Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of banking applications, with a focus on treasury management and compliance systems. You will play a crucial role in providing technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving issues, and collaborating with development teams to enhance application performance. Your strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and effective communication will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot application issues, answer inquiries, and resolve problems promptly. - Analyze and diagnose software application issues reported by users, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions. - Manage and prioritize incidents based on severity, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as per service level agreements. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of support processes, troubleshooting steps, and known issues for efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing. - Monitor application performance and availability proactively, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, perform upgrades, and implement enhancements. - Conduct training sessions, create user documentation, and educate end-users on application functionality and best practices. - Assist in planning and executing software releases and updates to minimize disruption and maintain system stability. - Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, or efficiency enhancements within the application support function. Qualifications Required: - Minimum B.Sc. in Information and Communications Technologies, Computer Science, or equivalent. - Proficiency in working with databases, including knowledge of SQL, database design, normalization, and experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server. - Experience in the banking/financial industry will be advantageous.,
