Analyst - Finance & Strategy

Role Overview: As an Analyst on the Finance and Strategy team at Opendoor, you will play a critical role in continuing to build out the F&S presence in India. You will have the unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of Opendoor's growth through forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on the P&L and key metrics of the business. Your role will involve partnering with a wide variety of partners across the company to forecast the company's financial trajectory, develop a deep understanding of the business model, and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Drive monthly and quarterly financial reporting. - Help build and maintain instrumentation for Company leadership to measure business performance against short-term and long-term objectives. - Build forecasting models and track financial performance to help business partners understand major cost drivers and make strategic trade-offs. - Become a subject-matter expert in all matters of internal financial reporting. - Partner with the business to support strategy and decision-making, lead ad hoc financial modeling and analysis, and build detailed financial, scenario-based models to evaluate investment priorities and potential alternatives. Qualifications Required: - 2-4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), investment banking, management consulting, and/or forecasting roles. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA, CMA, CPA a bonus. - Experience working under US GAAP and accrual-based accounting. - Strong understanding of advanced lookup functions in Excel. Fluent in Microsoft Office suite / Google suite. - Familiarity with financial planning software such as Hyperion - Smartview, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar tools. - Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities with the flexibility to pivot based on business needs. - Excellent written, verbal communication, and time management skills. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster trust with an executive team and cross-functional business partners. - Stellar work ethic, high self-motivation, and a desire to grow with the company. - Goal-oriented mindset, brightness, and kindness.
