Job Description

You should be well-versed in steering and suspension parts, including sheet metal part assemblies and forging parts. It is important for you to have a strong understanding of manufacturing technologies such as sheet metal pressing, welding, proprietary processes, and forging. Your background should include knowledge of the processes associated with these manufacturing technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for dealing with various suppliers, so the ability to work with a diverse range of suppliers is crucial. You should also have knowledge of costing, quote analysis, negotiation skills, and basic financial concepts. Analytical, problem-solving, technical, and communication skills are essential for success in this position. An important aspect of the role is cost reduction through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities and yield improvement. You should be able to read and analyze engineering standards, technical documents, and drawings. Proficiency in IT tools like Microsoft Office is required for this role. You will be expected to estimate tooling costs from part drawings using the Zero Based Costing (ZBC) approach. Knowledge of the structure of sheet metal and forging dies, tools, and the associated costs related to designing and manufacturing is essential. Occasional travel may be required based on work requirements.,
