Role Overview: You will be responsible for handling Sheet Metal Parts in the BDY Division. Your role will involve being well-conversant with various manufacturing technologies related to Sheet Metal such as Press, Weld, Proprietary, Forging, Fastener, and Standard parts. Additionally, you will be expected to have a background knowledge of processes associated with these technologies. Your expertise in Supply Chain management, procurement, and development will be crucial. Cost reduction through VAVE activities and Yield Improvement will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Understanding and experience in Supply Chain management - procurement & development - Dealing with diversified suppliers effectively - Knowledge of Zero-based costing, Quote analysis & Negotiation skills, and basic financial knowledge - Analytical, problem-solving, technical, and communication skills - Reading and analyzing Engineering Standards, technical documents & Drawings - Tooling cost estimation from part drawing using ZBC Approach - Knowledge of structure of sheet metal and forging dies, tools & the cost associated with the designing & Manufacturing Qualifications Required: - B.E./B. Design, develop, and maintain forging dies, tools, and fixtures used in the production of railway components such as couplers, anchor links, brackets, etc.

Role & responsibilities New Part Design & Development, Cost Reduction Projects, Press tool design, System Work. Preferred candidate profile New Product Development Activities (E.g. Design, Modelling, APQP, PPAP, Technical reviews, CFT reviews). Study & analysis the customer inputs (Drawings, standards & Models). Estimation of forging parts (Calculate the Net weight, cut weight, Flash, Yield) by using UNIGRAPHICS. Preparation of Forging Models & Drawings. Forging dies & tooling design & Drafting in NX (Unigraphics). Conduct trials on the shop floor & Prepare trial report for NPD & Improvement projects. Implement, maintain & monitoring of E.C.N. Productivity Improvements & cost reductions by innovative design. Prepare APQP, PPAP & PFMEA documents. Validation of process & tooling through FORGE NXT 3.0 Simulation software & Decision making for necessary changes in process & tools. Press Tool Parts Design, Modelling & Drafting. New Part Development with excellent skill on UG NX Software. Problem solving & Analytical skill to support Production. RTS, Inspection agreement, RAR, PPAP, APQP. Conversant with Crankshaft, Knuckle & Aluminum parts design.
