As an experienced professional in the Sheet Metal industry, you should be proficient in handling Sheet Metal Parts, Sheet Metal Assemblies, Forging, Fastener, and Standard parts. Your expertise should cover various manufacturing technologies such as Press, Weld, Proprietary, Forging, Fastener, and Standard parts processes. Your role will involve a deep understanding and practical experience in Supply Chain management, particularly in procurement and development processes. You should be comfortable interacting with a wide range of suppliers and vendors. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be focused on cost management, including Zero-based costing, Quote analysis, Negotiation skills, and basic financial knowledge. You will be expected to drive cost reduction initiatives through VAVE activities and Yield Improvement strategies. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, technical, and communication skills. Your ability to interpret Engineering Standards, technical documents, and Drawings will be crucial for successful project execution. Proficiency in IT tools, especially Microsoft Office, is essential for this position. You should be able to estimate tooling costs from part drawings using the ZBC Approach efficiently. In addition, a solid understanding of the structure of sheet metal and forging dies, tools, and associated costs related to designing and manufacturing processes will be beneficial for your role. Occasional travel may be required based on project and work requirements.,
