Position Overview:

The Airline Inside Sales and Reservation Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the airline’s inside sales and reservation operations. This role ensures high-quality customer service, effective sales strategies, and seamless reservation processes to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. The manager will also coordinate with other teams to streamline operations and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Inside Sales Management:

  • Lead the inside sales / reservation team across pan India  to achieve revenue targets through proactive selling and customer engagement.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor tele sales performance metrics and generate reports to track team performance.

2.Reservations Operations:

  • Oversee the reservation process ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to airline policies.
  • Manage the booking team to handle ticket issuance, cancellations, and modifications efficiently.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints related to reservations.
  • Ensure compliance with airline fare rules, tariffs, and reservation systems.

3.Team Leadership & Training:

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices for team efficiency.

4.Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, reservation metrics, and customer feedback.
  • Provide insights for revenue management and pricing strategies.

5.Coordination & Communication:

  • Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams to support campaigns and promotions.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in airline sales, reservations, or travel management
  • Strong knowledge of airline reservation systems (GDS – Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel, Power Point etc)
  • Ability to analyse data, create reports, and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling high-pressure situations.
