The Mission: Architect Our Core AI Engine

AI Research Scientist

Your mission will be to translate the most advanced concepts from academic research into a robust, scalable, and production-ready system that will define the new industry standard for data quality. You will own the technical vision for our validation cascade, building the AI agents that will serve as the heart of the Calaxis platform. You will be the "Architect" who draws the blueprints for our core technology, mentoring a passionate team of "Builders" and shaping the future of our company.

What You Will Do:

Architect and Build Our Core AI Validation Engine:

• Ensuring compliance with complex regulatory and legal rules.
• Validating technical and mathematical accuracy in specialized documents.
• Interpreting and reasoning about multimodal data, including charts and graphs.
• Performing advanced quality assurance and using external tools to ground information against real-time data.

Translate Research into Reality:

Who You Are: The Expert We Need

While modern LLMs are powerful tools, this role is not about using them; it's about architecting the novel systems they will inhabit. We are seeking an individual with the deep, first-principles understanding required to build what doesn't exist yet.

Required Qualifications:

• A PhD in Computer Science, AI, NLP, or a related field,

  OR

  equivalent industry experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio of building novel AI systems from scratch.
• Proven, hands-on experience implementing complex model architectures from academic papers (e.g., Transformers, Vision-Language Models, Diffusion Models, Agentic Frameworks).
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: Multimodal AI (Vision-Language Models), AI Agents (Tool-Use, Planning), or advanced NLP for specialized domains (e.g., legal, financial).
• Exceptional proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• A profound understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data preprocessing and advanced fine-tuning techniques (SFT, RLHF, DPO) to model evaluation and deployment.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write clean, scalable, production-grade code.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):

• A track record of publications in top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL, ICLR).
• Direct experience implementing advanced AI frameworks for agentic tool-use, logical reasoning, or multimodal understanding.
• Experience building and deploying multi-agent AI systems.
• A passion for working in a fast-paced, product-driven startup environment.
