What You Will Be Doing

- Drive Portfolio-Level Impact: Translate your strategic vision into an outcome-driven roadmap that creates compounding value across our entire product ecosystem, clearly articulating the "why" behind every initiative.
- Lead Through Execution Excellence: Set the standard as a player-coach by personally driving critical outcomes while mentoring your team of Product Owners to sharpen their execution and ensure portfolio-wide coherence.

- Managing Process Over Outcomes: Your value isn't in administering headcount, budgets, or methodologies—it's in delivering measurable educational impact through strategic leadership.
- Implementing Pre-Determined Strategies: You won't execute someone else's vision. You'll author the comprehensive strategy from first principles, synthesizing insights from across the organization and market.
- Creating Static Roadmaps: You'll maintain a dynamic portfolio strategy that evolves weekly based on real-world data and team iterations, not rigid long-term plans that become obsolete.

AI Product Director Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to deliver measurable improvement in student learning outcomes through a cohesive AI-powered education strategy that transforms how knowledge is acquired, retained, and applied.
Basic Requirements
- 6+ years in product leadership with proven experience personally shaping product vision and owning core problem-solution hypotheses
- Track record of successfully launching at least one product from conception to market, reaching real users and generating at least $1M in revenue
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools in your professional workflow (research, analysis, synthesis, strategy development)

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
