Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and implement the overall logistics strategy, aligning it with the company's manufacturing schedule, sales goals, and financial objectives. Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions, such as port delays, carrier failures, or regulatory changes.
• Develop and manage the annual logistics budget, focusing on cost control over transportation, warehousing, and customs duties. Lead logistics operations for export (70% to North America, rest to MEA) and domestic shipments, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-efficient delivery of motors.
• Drive Value Creation Projects (VCP) to deliver annual savings through freight optimization, vendor negotiations, and process improvements. Continually assess and optimize the transportation and warehousing network to improve speed, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Ensure 100% compliance with global and Indian import-export regulations including AEO Tier 3, CTPAT, DGFT, GST, and customs documentation, with zero liability claims. Function as the primary owner for compliance with specific national standards (e.g., BIS in India, CE in Europe) concerning the logistics and import of materials and products.
• Function as the primary point of contact for government and regulatory bodies concerning logistics and customs audits and internal audits. Directly manage and provide high-level support for the successful implementation and maintenance of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification and compliance across relevant products and import processes. Ensure all logistics documentation meets regulatory standards (e.g., BIS, trade compliance) and is archived correctly!
• Manage timely realization of government export incentives such as Duty Drawback, RODTEP, MEIS, Advance Licenses, BRC, etc.
• Contain domestic outbound freight costs to 1.3% of India sales value through strategic planning and logistics partner management. Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with carriers (trucking, rail, ocean, air) to ensure reliable and economical freight services.
• Collaborate with Faridabad factory and MEA/US Sales teams for monthly motor quantity planning aligned with AOP/Forecast targets. Ensure efficient and compliant delivery processes, maintaining ambitious standards for service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Track Finished Goods (FG) for both domestic and export markets; ensure alignment with sales forecasts and timely liquidation of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory.
• Oversee coordination with export forwarders for smooth dispatch of FCL/LCL/Consolidated shipments, ensuring value-added handling and documentation. Lead all import and export operations, ensuring strict compliance with national and international customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements!
• Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting to Faridabad . Experience in Oracle and align in development of MIS Systems from time to time as per company's continuous process improvement.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA), especially with a specialization in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.

Professional Certifications

Experience:

• 12 - 18 years of experience in logistics/export operations in a manufacturing/export-intensive environment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of EXIM policies, global trade compliance, and export documentation.
• Proven track record in cost optimization, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with US-based MNCs or export-heavy industries is highly desirable.
