Key Responsibilities

1. Scrum Master and Coaching

• Facilitate Core Ceremonies:

  Schedule, lead, and ensure the effectiveness of all Scrum events, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning (1-week cycle), Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Coach the Organization:

  Train team members and stakeholders on Agile principles and the mechanics of Scrum, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-management.

• Shield the Team:

  Act as a critical barrier between the Development Team and external disruptions (client changes, scope creep, urgent requests), ensuring the team can focus solely on the committed Sprint Goal.

2. Impediment Removal and Process Optimization

• Identify and Resolve Blockers:

  Proactively identify and remove obstacles (impediments) that slow down the team, such as review bottlenecks, lack of resource clarity, or delayed feedback.

• Improve Cross-Functional Flow:

  Focus on optimizing the workflow between departments (e.g., handoffs from Content Strategist to Graphic Designer to Performance Lead) to minimize waste and waiting time.

• Manage the Emergency Buffer:

  Establish clear rules for handling immediate 1-2 day urgent requests using capacity buffers, ensuring that planned work is protected.

3. Artifact Management and Transparency

• Maintain the Scrum Board:

  Ensure the single source of truth (Trello/Asana board) is updated daily, highly visible, and accurately reflects the state of work (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done).

• Support Product Owners:

  Help Product Owners define, groom, and maintain the

  Backlog

  , ensuring items are clearly articulated, properly estimated, and prioritized based on client value and agency strategy.

• Metrics and Reporting:

  Track and report on key agency metrics (e.g., Sprint success rate, velocity, burndown, and time-to-market for high-priority client deliverables) to the Managing Director.

Skills & Qualifications

• Certification (Mandatory):

  Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.

• Experience (Critical):

  Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager, with at least 1 year in a

  Digital Agency, Marketing, or Consulting environment

  (experience with Creative, Content, and Performance teams is highly preferred).

• Process Acumen:

  Proven ability to implement Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) in non-traditional, non-IT teams.

• Communication:

  Exceptional coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to manage diverse personalities and conflicting priorities across teams.

• Tool Proficiency:

  Expertise in using digital project management and visual tracking tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Jira).
