Job Summary The Education Counselor will guide prospective students through the complete admissions process for MBA and PGDM programs. This role involves counseling, lead management, application assistance, documentation support, and ensuring conversions through continuous follow-up. The counselor acts as a trusted advisor, helping students choose the right program based on their career goals. Key Responsibilities1. Student Counseling Provide detailed program guidance for MBA and PGDM courses (specializations, curriculum, accreditation, career outcomes, fees, etc.). Understand students’ academic backgrounds, aspirations, and financial conditions to offer personalized recommendations. Conduct one-on-one telephonic, online, and in-person counseling sessions. 2. Lead Management & Conversion Handle walk-ins, telephonic inquiries, website leads, and outbound call lists. Qualify leads and maintain consistent follow-ups to achieve monthly enrollment targets. Update CRM/lead management systems with timely and accurate information. 3. Admissions Support (End-to-End) Assist students in the application form filling, documentation, and payment processes. Explain the selection criteria, entrance requirements, interview processes, and important deadlines. Coordinate entrance tests, GD/PI rounds, counseling sessions, and campus visits. Guide students until final enrollment and onboarding. 4. Relationship Building Build strong rapport with students and parents to maintain trust throughout the counseling cycle. Communicate program value propositions clearly and confidently. Liaise with internal teams like admissions, academics, marketing, and finance for smooth processes. 5. Reporting & Process Compliance Maintain accurate records of counseling activities and conversions. Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports on leads, applications, and admissions. Ensure all admissions processes follow institutional policies and compliance guidelines. Required Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sales orientation with the ability to meet targets. Good understanding of MBA/PGDM programs and higher education trends. Ability to handle pressure, objections, and diverse student profiles. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and online communication platforms. Strong problem-solving and presentation skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (mandatory). MBA or PGDM preferred but not mandatory. 1–5 years of experience in education counseling, admissions, or inside sales (preferred).
