1. Job Summary The Educational Counsellor is responsible for guiding students in making informed academic, career, and personal development choices. The role involves counselling, academic planning, career guidance, coordinating admissions processes, and supporting students to identify suitable educational pathways based on their interests, skills, and goals. 2. Key Responsibilities Student Counselling & Guidance Provide one-on-one counselling to students regarding academic programs, course selection, and career pathways. Assess students’ interests, strengths, and challenges using interviews, assessments, and profiling tools. Help students set realistic academic and career goals. Admissions & Enrollment Support Guide prospective students about available programs, eligibility, fee structure, and admission processes. Conduct information sessions, campus tours, and counselling workshops. Assist with application documentation, form filling, and follow-up. Required Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and active listening Knowledge of academic systems, career options, and education pathways Counselling and problem-solving abilities Organizational and documentation skills Ability to work with diverse student groups
