Job Description

Summary:

The Accounts Payable – Provisioning Specialist role is essential for managing comprehensive Accounts Payable processes, focusing on month-end provisioning and accruals to ensure precise financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable activities including invoice processing, validations, posting, and payment support.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Handle vendor reconciliations and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with procurement, business stakeholders, and vendors to resolve AP-related issues.
  • Prepare and post monthly provisions and accruals for expenses, including services received but not invoiced.
  • Perform reversals and true-ups of provisions in subsequent periods.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities within defined timelines.
  • Prepare and review AP aging reports, accrual reports, and provisioning summaries.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Work on ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Workday / other finance systems) for AP and provisioning activities.

Key Requirements:

  • 6–9 years of experience in Accounts Payable with strong exposure to provisioning and accrual accounting.
  • Solid understanding of accrual concepts, expense recognition, and month-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred), Oracle, Workday, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a shared services, MNC, or global finance environment.
  • Professional certifications (CA / CMA / CPA / MBA Finance) will be an added advantage.
