Accounts Payable Accountant

You will be responsible for the following tasks: - Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies - Process invoices in the ERP system, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation - Address discrepancies or missing information by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders You will also be involved in: - Maintaining accurate vendor records, including contact details, tax information, and banking details - Supporting vendor onboarding processes by collecting and verifying required documentation Additionally, you will: - Perform regular reconciliations of vendor accounts and AP ledgers - Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing AP-related reports - Identify and resolve unmatched or outstanding items in AP accounts You are expected to: - Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements, including GST and TDS compliance - Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field Technical Skills: - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) - Strong understanding of local tax regulations, including GST and TDS - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices Soft Skills: - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal teams - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with AP automation tools or shared services operations,
