Accounts Manager

Job Description

A senior accountant in manufacturing is responsible for a company's financial records, procedures, and statements. Some of their responsibilities include: Analysing financial data : Review and analyse financial data to create reports on the company's financial status Preparing financial reports : Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements Managing accounts : Review and manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile accounts monthly Maintaining ledgers : Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary accounts Supporting audits : Support internal and external tax audits, and prepare documentation for external auditors Ensuring compliance : Ensure that accounting procedures comply with legal requirements and financial standards Managing payroll : Manage the payroll process Training and managing accountants : Train and manage junior accountants Recommending improvements : Recommend ways to improve the company's accounting systems and procedures Staying updated : Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and compliance requirements Senior accountants typically have a bachelor's degree in accounting, but a master's degree or extensive experience in the financial field is preferred. They should also have advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and be proficient in accounting software.
