Accounts Executive [Freight forwarding]

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with experience in the freight forwarding industry to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic insights to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts; monitor variances and provide analysis to management.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and collections.
• Cost Accounting: Analyze and allocate costs related to freight forwarding operations, providing insights into profitability and efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards specific to the freight forwarding industry.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in accounting practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 2-4years of experience in accounting, with at least [1+] years in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations relevant to the freight forwarding sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in freight forwarding.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per year
