Accounts Executive - Finance & Accounts

Job Description

Duckback India Limited, a legacy Indian manufacturing brand, is seeking a mid-level to senior Accounts professional to manage end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, and factory-level costing and controls. The role requires regular coordination with factory teams and preparation of monthly financial performance reports.

This position is suited for a hands-on accounts professional who is comfortable working on-site, visiting factories, and maintaining strong financial discipline across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Maintain complete books of accounts and handle day-to-day accounting operations independently
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and related financial summaries
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable

Taxation & Compliance

• File GST returns
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and return filings
• Support income tax filings and statutory audits
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations

Costing & Factory Coordination

• Visit the factory regularly for product costing and cost analysis
• Monitor raw material consumption, production usage, and wastage
• Conduct regular consumption checks and inspections at the factory
• Coordinate with production, stores, and purchase teams to verify inventory and usage data
• Identify cost variances, leakages, and efficiency improvement opportunities

Reporting & Financial Controls

• Prepare MIS reports related to costs, expenses, and consumption
• Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and budgets
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Support management with accurate and timely financial insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred)
• CA Inter / CMA / CS Inter candidates will be an added advantage
• 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing industry preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic income tax filing
• Hands-on experience in monthly P&L preparation and analysis
• Practical exposure to factory costing and consumption monitoring
• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting software
• Willingness to travel regularly to the factory
• Ability to work independently
