Job Description

Job Description: As an Assistant Manager in the Finance & Accounts department in the interior design & manufacturing industry, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions, prepare financial statements, track project costs, manage budgets, handle GST & statutory compliance, oversee inventory & asset management, and enforce internal controls for process improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Maintain general ledger and subsidiary accounts. - Track and analyze project costs and margins (materials, labor, overheads). - Collaborate with project and production teams for cost control. - Monitor budget variances and suggest corrective actions. - Verify supplier invoices against POs, GRNs, and delivery notes. - Maintain vendor reconciliation and aging reports. - Ensure accurate GST accounting and timely filing of returns. - Handle TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements. - Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits. - Support physical inventory checks and reconcile inventory records. - Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules. - Implement and maintain strong internal controls. - Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Commerce/Finance; CA Inter or MBA Finance preferred. - 4-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or interior design industry. - Strong understanding of project accounting, costing, and vendor management.,
