Position Title : Accountant Department : Finance & Accounts Reporting To : Managing Director Location : Ernakulam Employment Type : Full-time Role Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the firm’s operations with accurate reporting, analysis, and cash flow management. Key Responsibilities Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions using Tally or relevant software Prepare and maintain books of accounts (Purchase, Sales, Journal, Cash & Bank Book) Manage accounts receivable and payable GST filing and reconciliation (monthly, quarterly, and annually) TDS calculation, deduction, and filing Prepare and analyze financial statements – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Coordinate with external auditors for audits and tax assessments Prepare project-wise expense and income statements Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Handle payroll accounting, salary processing, and statutory compliance (PF/ESI) Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts regularly Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions Work Environment & Culture A creative and energetic team that values design and execution Exposure to real-time project finance and business operations Opportunity to contribute to high-value showroom and interior design projects Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter preferred) 2–5 years of experience in a similar role (experience in architecture/interior/design firm is an advantage) Proficient in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and GST portals Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and Income Tax Excellent analytical and numerical skills Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines About the Company VEDHA Architects Group is a dynamic architectural and interior design firm specializing in high-end showroom and commercial space design.
