Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Head Office team in a leading construction company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supporting project-level accounting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, construction industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with site accountants and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, project costs, and working capital.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, VAT, and local financial laws.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Support project-level accounting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, as needed.
• Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project managers to align financial planning with project progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B. Com, M. Com. CA Intermidiate.
• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally)
• Solid knowledge of IFRS / GAAP and local tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
