Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, vendor payments, project billing, and statutory compliance for the company.
The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
This role works closely with the Office Manager (Suresh), the PMC team, and the management to ensure that all financial processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with SAEPL’s operating systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
Maintain and update all ledgers, cash books, and project-wise accounting records.
Record day-to-day transactions including expenses, advances, purchases, and petty cash.
Verify invoices, approvals, and supporting documents before processing payments.
2. Vendor & Payment Management
Coordinate with vendors for invoices, GRNs, and payment clarifications.
Prepare payment schedules based on delivery, project stages, and management instructions.
Ensure timely disbursement of vendor, contractor, and consultant payments.
3. Project Billing & Cost Tracking
Track project-wise expenses, purchase orders, and material consumption.
Assist the PMC team in preparing cost-to-complete and cash-flow statements.
Highlight discrepancies, overpricing, or deviations from BOQs to management.
4. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure statutory compliance including GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other applicable regulations.
Maintain proper filing (digital + physical) of all invoices, payment vouchers, and statutory challans.
Prepare monthly reconciliation reports for bank accounts, vendor ledgers, and advances.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Work with the PMC team to verify material arrival, contractor bills, and measurement sheets.
Support management with weekly financial summaries and project expenditure reports.
Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, architecture, or service-based firms.
Strong proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and basic GST/TDS compliance.
Good understanding of project billing, vendor management, and documentation processes.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a disciplined, process-oriented work ethic.
