Accountant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and experience with various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining accurate financial statements and supporting the organization’s financial health across diverse sectors, including corporate, non-profit, and governmental accounting environments.

Duties

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Conduct accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity.
• Support budgeting processes and financial forecasting activities.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, audit preparations, and compliance documentation.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using double entry bookkeeping principles.
• Interpret financial reports to provide insights on financial performance and trends.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards where applicable.
• Mentor junior staff or interns in accounting procedures and best practices.
• Support tax-related activities including preparation of tax returns and understanding of tax laws such as Wills, trusts & estate law when applicable.
• Contribute to internal controls development and process improvements for efficient financial management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
