Department: Payroll Finance & Accounts Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in payroll processing and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll management, maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and support overall finance and HR operations. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in salary, tax, and deductions. Handle variable pay components such as incentives, bonuses, overtime, leaves, and reimbursements. Maintain and update payroll records, employee databases, and attendance logs. Coordinate with HR and other departments to verify employee data and resolve discrepancies. Manage final settlements and exit formalities related to payroll. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, LWF, etc. File periodic returns and reports with government authorities (e.g., EPFO, ESIC, Income Tax). Prepare and submit Form 16, Form 24Q, and other tax-related documents. Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections. Accounting & Reporting: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ledgers. Generate payroll reports, MIS, and dashboards for management. Support internal and statutory audits related to payroll and compliance. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA Finance).   0–2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and compliance. Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Hands-on experience with payroll software and accounting tools (e.g., Tally, Excel, Zoho Payroll, reytHR, etc.). Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity. Preferred: Experience working in [industry sector, e.g., IT, Manufacturing, Services, etc.]. Familiarity with labor codes and recent regulatory changes.
