Job Title: Accountant – E-commerceJob Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the financial operations of our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will handle accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, GST filings, vendor payments, sales reconciliation from multiple platforms (website, marketplaces, and payment gateways), and preparation of financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of e-commerce financial processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records.
• Reconcile sales and payments from various e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, website, etc.) and payment gateways (Razorpay, Paytm, PayU, etc.).
• Prepare and process vendor invoices, customer refunds, and supplier payments.
• Ensure timely GST/TDS compliance, tax filings, and statutory returns.
• Monitor inventory accounting, returns, discounts, and chargebacks.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage petty cash records.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and internal teams.
• Prepare financial reports to support management decision-making.
• Track expenses, profitability, and cash flow management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter/ICWA preferred).
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail company.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP).
• Familiarity with e-commerce platform reports and payment gateway settlements.
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in reconciling marketplace deductions, shipping charges, and returns.
• Knowledge of inventory and warehouse accounting.
• Ability to automate reporting and streamline accounting processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,086.00 - ₹28,930.54 per month
