Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Manage and review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning Monitor property-level accounting and ensure accurate lease and rent accounting Coordinate with property managers to ensure proper documentation and financial controls Handle statutory compliance including tax filings, GST, TDS, and audits Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies Implement and improve internal controls and accounting procedures Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce CA / CPA / CMA preferred (or in progress) 5–8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role Prior experience in the real estate or property management industry strongly preferred Proficient in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, or Tally Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills High attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
