Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Achieve revenue targets for Journals and Books across new business and renewals.
  • Annual account planning and execution (jointly with other sales resources where required)
  • Regularly review sales results and forecasts e.g. via Clari and other sales enablement tools and adjust actions accordingly.
  • Ensure Salesforce is always up to date.
  • Gather, monitor and evaluate competitive information and provide market feedback to the business to enhance product development and GTM.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant decision makers and influencers at the customer level to support Elsevier s strategic objectives.
  • Provide customer support and after-sales follow-up
Requirements
  • A University degree, BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of proven commercial (B2B) experience, including account planning, growing an account, cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Experience selling content, technology or similar (3 years experience)
  • Experience in selling to academic institutions in Eastern and Southern India
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts and closing business
  • Proven success in new business prospecting, selling, negotiating and closing skills
  • Experienced working in a global and highly matrixed organization.
