Account Manager (Accountant)

We are a leading heavy metal fabrication company specializing in the design and manufacture of industrial equipment such as pressure vessels, boilers, pulpers, air receivers, and other large-scale fabricated structures. To support our growing operations, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a full-time, in-house basis.

Reporting To: CCO/Director

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.

• Cost & Project Accounting
• Track project-wise costs for heavy fabrication jobs including raw material, labor, subcontracting, and overheads.
• Prepare cost variance analyses for ongoing projects and provide management with profitability insights.
• Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to job orders and projects.

• Taxation & Compliance
• Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory tax filings and ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Maintain all statutory records and filings in an organized and timely manner.

• Budgeting & Cash Flow Management
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Monitor cash flows, working capital requirements, and suggest improvements in financial efficiency.
• Oversee vendor payments and ensure proper authorization processes are followed.

• Internal Controls & Documentation
• Implement and monitor internal control systems for expense management and approvals.
• Ensure all financial records, vouchers, and documentation are maintained properly.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master’s degree or CA/ICWA/CPA is an advantage).
• Proven experience (3–5 years) as an Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with operations, procurement, and management teams.
