Workday Payroll Consultant

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between HR and Workday teams to deliver scalable Workday Payroll solutions.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into system configurations and enhancements.
• Evaluate the impact of Workday changes on current and future business processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in handling sensitive employee data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, including workday HCM.
• Proficient in configuring payroll components such as Withholding Orders, Taxes, Validations, and Arrears.
• Deep understanding of payroll processing frameworks, banking, and settlement processes.
• Expertise in managing payroll inputs, audits, and both on-cycle and off-cycle payments.
• Functional knowledge across multiple HR domains: Time Tracking, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, and Benefits.
• Experience performing HRIS operations within Workday HCM and Payroll modules.
• Strong ability to lead client design sessions and configure business processes, validations, and condition rules.
• Skilled in creating and troubleshooting EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder).
• Ability to resolve complex functional issues within Workday.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday security calculated fields, and custom reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite).
• Familiarity with Workday data sources and their optimal usage.
• Ability to assess Workday release updates and determine their impact on existing configurations.
• Strong commitment to maintaining data integrity and compliance standards.
