Windows Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Windows client operating systems.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability of all Windows-based infrastructure.
• Apply system patches, updates, and security configurations following best practices.
• Support and manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated Windows-related issues.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
• Collaborate with the network, security, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in a Windows system administration or engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows 10/11.
• Expertise in Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience in managing and maintaining virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as:

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

• MCSA / MCSE (legacy certifications)

• Experience with Microsoft System Center (SCCM), Intune, or Azure AD.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).

Working Conditions

• Standard business hours with occasional after-hours or weekend support.
• May require participation in on-call rotation.
• On-site or hybrid work model based on organizational needs.
