Year of Experience : 6 to 13 Years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Welding Manager to lead our welding operations in the steel fabrication industry. This position requires deep expertise in arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding , and robotic welding technologies. The Welding Manager will oversee a team of skilled welders, manage production schedules, enforce quality and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in welding processes. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support a team of welders across various welding disciplines (arc, MIG, TIG, robotic). Assign daily tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure team efficiency. Welding Quality & Compliance: Ensure that all welding operations meet project specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements (AWS, ASME). Perform inspections and resolve any quality issues. Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine welding processes, including robotic automation, to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high output standards.Enforce OSHA, ISO, and company safety protocols. Ensure all personnel adhere to safety standards and that the working environment is hazard-free.Provide regular training on welding techniques, safety protocols, and new technologies. Foster a culture of learning and professional growth within the welding team.Oversee the maintenance and optimal performance of all welding and robotic equipment. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize production downtime.Liaise with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure welding operations align with project goals and schedules.Monitor and manage welding consumables and materials inventory to prevent shortages and maintain uninterrupted operations. Qualifications: Safety Management: Training & Development: Equipment Maintenance: Cross-Functional Collaboration: Inventory Management: Proven experience as a Welding Manager or Senior Welding Supervisor in a steel fabrication environment. Expertise in arc welding, MIG, TIG, and robotic welding. Strong knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME) and safety regulations (OSHA, ISO). Hands-on experience with robotic welding equipment and automation. Excellent leadership, problem-solving Technical certification in welding or a related field; CWI certification a plus. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
