Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for a Welding Engineer located in Angola. The Welding Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and improving welding processes, developing and implementing welding techniques, and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to. Core tasks include evaluating materials, conducting welding tests, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency in welding operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in welding techniques, welding process development, and quality control procedures
• Knowledge of material properties, fabrication processes, and metal joining methods
• Experience with welding equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with safety regulations, welding standards, and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Prior experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments
• Certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent are a plus
