Welding Engineer

Role Overview: As a Welding Engineer in this on-site contract role located in Angola, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving welding processes. Your key tasks will include developing and implementing welding techniques, evaluating materials, conducting welding tests, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency in welding operations. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and improve welding processes - Develop and implement welding techniques - Evaluate materials and conduct welding tests - Maintain documentation related to welding operations - Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in welding techniques, welding process development, and quality control procedures - Knowledge of material properties, fabrication processes, and metal joining methods - Experience with welding equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting - Familiarity with safety regulations, welding standards, and compliance requirements - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications - Degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) - Prior experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments - Certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent are a plus,
