About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Vice President – Design to lead the engineering and design function for our solar mounting structure division. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in structural engineering, solar structure design, and leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams. This role is critical to driving our product innovation, R&D, design quality, and technical excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering Leadership

• Lead end-to-end structural design of solar mounting systems (rooftop, ground-mount, carport, elevated structures).
• Approve structural calculations, load analysis, wind simulations, and design reports.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, ASCE, Eurocodes, and global engineering standards.
• Drive optimization of materials (GI, HDG, aluminum) while maintaining strength and reliability.

Product Development & Innovation

• Lead development of new solar mounting solutions based on market and project needs.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and product validation cycles.
• Introduce design standardization, modularity, and cost-effective engineering practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support sales teams with design feasibility, technical clarifications, and pre-bid engineering.
• Work closely with production, procurement, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Address on-site challenges and ensure smooth project execution with accurate technical inputs.

Team Management

• Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing design and engineering team.
• Implement design SOPs, review processes, and technical training programs.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and problem-solving.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Participate in client meetings for technical presentations and solution discussions.
• Collaborate with consultants, EPCs, and developers to align designs with project requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, certifications, and audit compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Specialization in Structural Engineering preferred.

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in structural/mechanical design.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or design head role.
• Proven experience in solar mounting structure design, steel structures, or renewable energy engineering.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹85,608.55 per month
