Job Description

Role & responsibilities

In depth knowledge of Refinery/ Fertilizers business.
Identify and evaluate growth opportunities in refining, petrochemicals, and downstream value chains.
Lead M&A, JV, and partnership activities including deal sourcing, technical/commercial evaluation, due diligence, and negotiations.
Develop business cases, financial models, and investment proposals for greenfield and brownfield refinery projects.
Perform market analysis on crude supply, refining margins, competitive environment, and technology trends.
Drive commercial agreements including crude supply contracts, product offtake deals, tolling agreements, and licensing arrangements.
Work with engineering, operations, strategy, and finance teams to progress opportunities from concept to execution.
Maintain strong relationships with investors, EPC contractors, licensors, government authorities, and strategic partners.
Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

BE Chemical is mandatory;
higher qualifications like MBA are preferred.
20+ years of experience
in refining, petrochemicals, or downstream business development.
Strong experience in M&A, JV structuring, project development, and commercial negotiations.
Solid understanding of refining technologies, economics, and value-chain integration.
Exceptional communication, relationship management, and leadership skills.
