About the Role

As a Video Editor, you will take ownership of the complete video production pipeline—from conceptualization and scriptwriting through editing, post-production, and final delivery. You'll work with cutting-edge AI video tools alongside traditional editing software to create high-impact visual content designed for digital audiences. This position offers the opportunity to experiment with emerging AI technologies like Heygen, Runway ML, and Sora while collaborating with a creative team to develop engaging content that resonates across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept Development & Scripting: Research emerging trends and audience preferences to brainstorm original video concepts. Develop compelling scripts that align with creative direction and strengthen storytelling impact.
• AI-Powered Video Production: Leverage advanced AI video tools including Heygen, Runway ML, Sora, and similar platforms to enhance production efficiency and visual quality. Stay informed about new AI advancements and integrate them into workflows to maintain competitive advantage.
• Editing & Post-Production: Execute professional-grade video editing with attention to seamless transitions, engaging effects, sound design, and visual polish. Perform color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics work to ensure broadcast-quality output.
• Platform Optimization: Adapt and optimize video content for multiple social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok Shorts, LinkedIn) while maintaining consistent brand identity and maximizing audience engagement.
• Collaboration & Project Management: Work alongside content creators, marketers, and designers to align video output with broader brand and marketing objectives. Manage concurrent projects with competing deadlines while sustaining quality standards.
• Creative Input: Contribute original ideas during team brainstorming sessions and actively participate in strategy discussions around content direction and production approach.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated portfolio of professional video editing work, showcasing editing expertise, creative vision, and technical proficiency.
• Hands-on, practical experience with AI video generation and editing tools (Heygen, Runway ML, Sora, or equivalent platforms).
• Comprehensive understanding of video production workflows, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and delivery optimization.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality standards.
• Strong visual storytelling capabilities with an acute eye for design, composition, color, and motion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across remote teams.
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and willingness to continuously learn emerging tools and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Background in scriptwriting, storytelling structure, and narrative development for visual media.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, animations, visual effects, and compositing.
• Track record of creating viral or highly-engaged social media video content (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
• Knowledge of video SEO, platform-specific optimization strategies, and audience engagement analytics.
• Experience with other AI tools or emerging digital production technologies.
