Job Profile:

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into engaging, polished final outputs.

• Add music, voice-overs, graphics, captions, and sound effects.

• Work with marketing, creative, and communications teams to align video tone with campaign goals.

• Review scripts, storyboards, and shot lists to understand project requirements.

• Manage file organization, video archiving, and version control.

• Correct color, lighting, and audio for consistency and clarity.

• Export videos in various formats optimized for web, social media, or events.

• Ensure videos comply with brand identity and copyright rules.

• Stay updated on video trends, new editing tools, and digital storytelling techniques.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator (for motion graphics).

• Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video compression formats.

Creative Skills:

• Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and visual storytelling.

• Understanding of cinematography and design aesthetics.

• Ability to visualize concepts and translate scripts into compelling visuals.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and collaboration with directors or teams.

• Attention to detail and organization.

• Time management under tight deadlines.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Studies, Multimedia, Communication, Visual Arts, or equivalent.

Certification in video editing software (optional but preferred).

Experience:

2–5 years of experience (depending on role level).
