About the Role:

Video Content Creator

The ideal candidate should be able to think through narratives, understand scripts, contribute to content ideation and be deeply hands-on with editing and post-production. You will play a key role in shaping how Policybazaar tells stories across digital and internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Production

• Collaborate with content, social, and brand teams to understand briefs, scripts, and content objectives
• Contribute to storytelling, structure, flow, and narrative approach during the planning stage
• Assist in shoot planning including framing, visual treatment, basic lighting needs, and platform-specific requirements

Production (Shoot)

• Handle camera setup and on-ground shooting for interviews, podcasts, leadership conversations, explainers, and brand content
• Manage basic lighting, framing, and audio setup to ensure high-quality raw footage
• Coordinate during shoots to ensure content aligns with scripts, tone, and storytelling intent

Post-Production

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms.
• Edit and package podcasts, interviews, leadership conversations, explainers, and brand videos.
• Create platform-specific cut-downs and adaptations from long-form content
• Add text overlays, graphics, animations, sound design, and music
• Ensure high standards across pacing, audio quality, colour correction, and transitions
• Maintain consistency with Policybazaar’s brand tone, visual guidelines, and quality benchmarks

Workflow & Collaboration

• Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced content environment
• Take feedback constructively and iterate quickly with content and brand stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in video editing and video production (brand-side, agency, media house, or content-first startup)
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (hands-on, non-negotiable)
• Experience with camera handling and on-ground video shoots
• Working knowledge of colour grading, basic sound mixing, lighting basics, and motion elements
• Strong understanding of storytelling, scripting, pacing, and visual hierarchy
• Experience working on digital-first content for social media and long-form platforms
• Ability to understand briefs independently and execute end-to-end video projects
• A strong portfolio showcasing shoot + edit work, including both long-form and short-form videos

Good to Have:

• Experience editing explainers, podcasts or interview-led content
• Exposure to content ideation or script-level inputs
• Basic motion graphics skills
• Experience working with fintech, tech, or consumer internet brands
• Familiarity with YouTube and Instagram best practices.
