Job Description

We're seeking an exceptional Engineering Leader to join our dynamic team. As an early stage startup, we're at a pivotal growth stage, offering a unique chance to shape our engineering culture, scale our products, and build high-performing teams. You'll play a crucial role in defining technical strategy, driving execution, and mentoring engineers, directly contributing to our market leadership.


What You'll Do:


  • Strategic Technical Leadership:

    Define and execute technical vision, aligning with business goals. Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, secure, and performant fintech platforms.
  • Team Building & Mentorship:

    Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering excellence and continuous learning.
  • Execution & Delivery Excellence:

    Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features, ensuring timely, high-quality execution. Implement robust engineering processes for velocity and stability.
  • Product & Business Partnership:

    Collaborate with Product and Design to translate business needs into technical solutions. Understand fintech landscape and regulatory requirements.
  • Security & Compliance:

    Champion security best practices, ensuring adherence to financial industry standards and data privacy regulations.


What You'll Bring:


  • Education:

    Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science/Engineering from a

    Tier 1 institution.

  • Experience:

    8-12 years

    in software development, with

    2-3+ years in engineering leadership

    (e.g., Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer).
  • Startup Acumen:

    Proven experience in early-stage (Series A/B preferred) startup environments

    , understanding rapid iteration and resourcefulness. Demonstrated ability to

    build and scale teams and systems from scratch.

  • Fintech Domain:

    Prior FinTech industry experience is highly preferred

    (payments, lending, banking infra, regulatory compliance, fraud detection).
  • Technical Depth:

    Strong background in scalable, secure backend systems. Proficiency in modern languages (Java, Python, Go, Node.js), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:

    Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. High ownership and accountability.
