Job Description

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role with a growing startup and a young, energetic team of engineers. We're looking for a leader who can balance strategic thinking with technical execution, helping shape the company’s technology direction while mentoring and growing the team. Engineering leaders with 8–12 years of industry experience will be highly desirable. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a hands-on technical leader, overseeing the engineering function—including architecture, design, development processes, and infrastructure—while making individual contributions when needed. Define and execute strategies to drive innovation, scale technology solutions, and uphold product quality and performance standards. Monitor and improve key engineering metrics such as sprint velocity, delivery timelines, incident resolution, and defect rates to ensure team efficiency and alignment with business goals. Collaborate with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap and ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery. Own technical decision-making for major projects, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the technology stack. Foster a high-performance culture rooted in technical excellence, agility, and continuous learning. Play a strategic role in company growth by contributing technical insight to long-term planning and business decisions. Keep the engineering team aligned with evolving industry trends, introducing modern tools, frameworks, and best practices where relevant. Support leadership development within the team by mentoring engineering managers and individual contributors. Ideal Candidate Profile 8–12 years of industry experience, with proven success in engineering leadership roles in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Strong technical foundation with experience across software development, systems architecture, and cloud infrastructure. Proven ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing engineering teams, particularly in startup or early-stage environments. Deep knowledge of modern development practices and the full software development lifecycle. Experience in designing and managing distributed systems and cloud-native solutions. Strategic thinker with strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Passionate about fostering team growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
