Vessel Performance Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Performance Analyst to join our Vessel Performance & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will support performance monitoring and optimization projects, develop advanced systems for vessel performance, and contribute to in-house analysis methods. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of vessel performance analysis methodologies, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Analytics team to deliver performance optimization projects.

· Provide fact-based analytical decision support to clients.

· Develop and deploy advanced systems in partnership with programmers and developers.

· Maintain and enhance in-house analysis methods for service delivery.

· Design and implement real-time performance monitoring dashboards.

· Ensure timely delivery of reports and adherence to client requirements.

· Work with operations teams to support digitalization and sustainability goals.

· Monitor fleet performance for financial optimization.

· Address user feedback and challenges with innovative solutions.

· Maintain cross-departmental relationships and provide resolutions based on user specifications.

· Understand and apply back-end and front-end processes for various functions.

· Develop algorithms for trim optimization and performance analysis.

· Utilize knowledge of vessel performance analysis methodologies to assess and analyze client fleets' performance.

· Prepare Power BI dashboards and demonstrate proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualization.

· Manage and query data efficiently using SQL and databases, including working with APIs as needed.

· Utilize programming skills in R or Python for advanced data analysis and modeling.

· Link data and analysis to the physical aspects of the fleet, providing insights that impact vessel performance and operational decisions.

· Approach complex data in a structured manner, employing a solid analytical mindset to uncover patterns and trends that drive performance improvements.

· Lead and guide junior and trainee vessel performance analysts, providing mentorship, training, and insights into best practices in the field.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and data science, to align performance analysis with business goals and operational strategies.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BTech) required.

· Minimum CGPA of 8.0 or above.

· Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel.

· Programming skills in R or Python for data analysis and modeling.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

· Passion for digitalization and sustainability in the maritime industry.

Salary: ₹18,000 per month
