MARINE DRAUGHTSMAN We are seeking a skilled Marine Draughtsman with a minimum of 1 year of experience in marine drafting to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans specifically for marine vessels and associated systems, based on inputs from naval architects and marine engineers. Proficiency in marine CAD applications, understanding of marine construction standards, and strong communication skills are essential to ensure high-quality, compliant, and collaborative outputs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Marine Technical Drawing Development : Interpret design specifications and calculations to prepare detailed and accurate marine drawings, including hull structures, piping systems, and onboard layouts. CAD and 3D Marine Modeling : Utilize marine-specific CAD software and 3D modeling tools to produce technical drawings that align with marine engineering standards and requirements. Collaboration with Marine Engineering Team : Work closely with naval architects, marine engineers, and project managers to integrate all functional and safety aspects into the drawings. Drawing Quality and Accuracy : Prepare, review, and refine marine drawings to ensure they meet industry quality standards and are free of discrepancies. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all marine designs comply with relevant maritime regulations, class rules, and safety codes (e.g., IMO, SOLAS). Design Issue Resolution : Identify potential design or structural issues in marine drawings and propose practical, cost-effective solutions. KEY REQUIREMENTS Experience : Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a draughtsman in a marine or shipbuilding environment . Marine CAD Proficiency : Strong command over CAD and 3D modeling software used in marine drafting (e.g., AutoCAD Marine, Rhino, ShipConstructor). Attention to Marine Detail : Demonstrated ability to produce highly accurate marine drawings with minimal revisions. Regulatory Awareness : Familiarity with international maritime standards and class society rules relevant to shipbuilding and marine systems. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to identify and resolve marine design challenges efficiently. Team Collaboration and Communication : Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the marine design and engineering teams. Time Management : Capable of meeting marine project timelines, managing revisions, and responding to technical feedback promptly. Leadership and Support : Experience in guiding or mentoring junior draughtsmen in the marine sector is a plus.
