Marine Draughtsman

As a Marine Draughtsman with a minimum of 1 year of experience in marine drafting, your role will involve preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for marine vessels and associated systems. You will collaborate with naval architects and marine engineers to ensure high-quality and compliant outputs. Proficiency in marine CAD applications, knowledge of marine construction standards, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret design specifications to create detailed marine drawings for hull structures, piping systems, and onboard layouts. - Utilize marine-specific CAD software and 3D modeling tools to align drawings with marine engineering standards. - Collaborate with marine engineering team to integrate functional and safety aspects into drawings. - Ensure drawing quality and accuracy by reviewing and refining designs to meet industry standards. - Ensure regulatory compliance with maritime regulations, class rules, and safety codes. - Identify and propose solutions for design or structural issues in marine drawings efficiently. Key Requirements: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a draughtsman in a marine or shipbuilding environment. - Proficiency in marine CAD software such as AutoCAD Marine, Rhino, ShipConstructor. - Attention to detail in producing accurate marine drawings with minimal revisions. - Familiarity with international maritime standards and class society rules. - Strong problem-solving skills to address marine design challenges. - Effective communication skills for collaboration with design and engineering teams. - Time management abilities to meet project timelines and handle revisions promptly. - Experience in guiding or mentoring junior draughtsmen is a plus.
