Vendor development

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge in Machine shop Background conventional machine production.
• Expertise in vendor development for mechanical engineering components.
• Familiarity with vendor availability in and around Coimbatore.
• Proven experience in production and vendor development.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Vendor Development; Sub-contract follow up, co-ordinate with sub-contract parties to achieve planning schedule.
• Raw Material Knowledge must.
• Vendor Management / Vendor Development, Supplier Assessment & Supplier Auditing, Cost Negotiation and cost comparison

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain vendor master database and all associated records (audits, certifications, scorecards).
• Prepare weekly reports on supplier status, RFQ progress, and vendor issues.
• Assist Manager in preparing MIS and Board review reports for Procurement & Vendor Development.
• Documentation and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Aerospace / Production Engineering.
• 02–10 years of experience in vendor development, supplier quality, or sourcing (aerospace, automotive Tier-1 or defence manufacturing preferred).
• Exposure to manufacturing processes like CNC/VMC machining.
• Basic understanding of SAP/MRP systems (SAP similar).
