Industry & Sector:

Agriculture & Animal Health — Commercial Poultry Production. We operate in high-output broiler and layer farming operations focused on food-safety, production efficiency, and disease-free flock management across North India. This is an on-site clinical and flock-health leadership role based in Yamunanagar, Haryana.

  • Lead on-site flock health management for broiler and/or layer houses: design and execute prevention and treatment plans to minimise mortality and improve performance.
  • Develop and run vaccination schedules, routine health checks, and disease surveillance tailored to farm production systems.
  • Diagnose and treat individual clinical cases; perform necropsies and collect samples for laboratory testing; interpret diagnostic reports and implement corrective actions.
  • Implement, monitor and continuously improve biosecurity, sanitation, and medication protocols to prevent outbreaks and ensure product safety.
  • Train and supervise farm staff on animal handling, vaccination techniques, medication administration, and accurate health record-keeping.
  • Maintain comprehensive health records, prepare outbreak reports, coordinate with diagnostic laboratories, and comply with regulatory reporting requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
  • BVSc or MVSc in Veterinary Science (veterinary degree required).
  • Registration with the State Veterinary Council or equivalent licensure.
  • Proven hands-on experience in commercial poultry farms (broiler and/or layer) with responsibility for flock health.
  • Strong working knowledge of avian disease diagnosis, vaccination protocols, and biosecurity implementation.
  • Competence in performing necropsies, collecting field diagnostic samples, and interpreting lab reports (PCR, serology, culture).
  • Understanding of antimicrobial stewardship, drug withdrawal periods, and medicine record-keeping.

Preferred

  • Experience managing both broiler and layer production systems.
  • Prior responsibility for vaccination program design and disease surveillance campaigns.
  • Additional training or certification in poultry nutrition, avian medicine, or farm biosecurity.
