UX Designer

Role Overview

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and highly usable experiences that blend consumer app standards with learning psychology and gamification principles. You will design for parents as the primary audience, while drawing inspiration from children’s learning behaviors, educators, and family engagement needs.

Key Responsibilities

User Research & Insights

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to understand user motivations, pain points, and behaviors.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights, personas, and journey maps.
  • Continuously validate design hypotheses through iterative testing.

Experience Design

  • Map out user flows, wireframes, and interaction patterns that align with ZEVO’s product goals.
  • Apply instructional design principles to make habit-building and milestone tracking simple, engaging, and actionable.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and guidance for new users to drive adoption and retention.

Gamification & Engagement

  • Conceptualize and design reward systems, progress trackers, and achievement mechanics that sustain long-term engagement.
  • Apply behavioral psychology and motivation frameworks to reinforce positive user behaviors.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Content teams to translate UX strategies into functional experiences.
  • Incorporate feedback from usability testing and stakeholder reviews to refine solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years in

    UX design

    for consumer apps, preferably in EdTech, learning, or gamified products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in

    user research, flow mapping, and interaction design

    .
  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing (Figma, InVision, or similar tools).
  • Solid understanding of learning psychology, instructional design, and gamification principles.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
