Description SouthFuego is thrilled to be building our innovative team, and we're actively seeking a talented and motivated UI Design Intern to join us. This is a unique opportunity to be one of our first team members, contributing directly to the visual language and user experience of our cutting-edge products. You'll collaborate closely with experienced cross-functional teams, playing a vital role in crafting intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered designs that will define SouthFuego's aesthetic and delight our future customers. As a hybrid internship , this role offers the perfect blend of in-office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work. Responsibilities: Assist in the comprehensive design and development of user interfaces for both web and mobile applications, helping to establish SouthFuego's design standards. Contribute to the creation of detailed wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively articulate design concepts to the team. Support user research initiatives and participate in usability testing, providing valuable insights that inform and validate our design decisions. Collaborate proactively with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure a cohesive and seamless user experience across all product touchpoints. Aid in producing high-quality visual designs, meticulously adhering to established brand guidelines and fundamental design principles as they evolve. Actively research and stay abreast of the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, bringing fresh perspectives to our nascent team. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a closely related discipline. A compelling portfolio showcasing a strong aptitude for UI design, encompassing academic, personal, or previous professional projects. Demonstrable proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or comparable software. A foundational yet clear understanding of user interface design principles, including typography, color theory, and effective layout strategies. Exceptional communication and collaborative skills, essential for thriving in a dynamic, growing team environment. Proven ability to manage tasks effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team within a hybrid work structure.
